"I will lead the blind by a path they have not known, along unfamiliar ways I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the crooked paths straight: these are the things I will do for them, and I will not forsake them”

Meditation:
How often we complain about our fate when it seems that we are groping our way through darkness, that we have turned off from the right path and are surrounded by the unknown! But even in this darkness, in this uncertainty, who is it that leads us? The Lord alone. Why and where? We do not know this, but we should be content that He is leading us, and that there is nothing that we should fear any longer.
Listen to the promise the Lord gives his people: “I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the crooked paths straight”. So let us not despair, brothers: our Heavenly Father will not abandon us. He cares for us and will lead us where we need to go. If He brings darkness upon us, if He sends us trials, we need all of this; all of this must be for our good. He knows better than we do what path we must follow. “What I am doing now, you do not know, but will understand later” (John 13: 7).

«И поведу слепых дорогою, которой они не знают, неизвестными путями буду вести их; мрак сделаю светом перед ними и кривые пути – прямыми: вот что Я сделаю для них, и не оставлю их» (Ис.  42:16)

Как часто мы ропщем на нашу судьбу, когда нам кажется, что мы как будто ощупью плутаем во мраке, что мы свернули с верного пути, что окружены неизвестностью! Но и тут, в этом мраке, в этой неизвестности, кто же ведет нас? Один Господь. Почему и куда? Мы этого не знаем, но будем довольствоваться тем, что Он ведет нас и уже ничто более не должно нас страшить.

Слышите, какое обещание дает Господь Своему народу: «Мрак сделаю светом перед ними, и кривые пути – прямыми». Не будем же отчаиваться, братья: Отец наш Небесный нас не оставит, Он заботится о нас, Он приведет нас туда, куда следует. Если Он наводит на нас мрак, если Он посылает нам испытания, все это нам нужно, все это должно содействовать нашему благу. Он знает лучше нашего, по какому пути нам нужно идти. «Что Я делаю теперь, ты не знаешь, а уразумеешь после» (Ин. 13:7).
